Suppers For Sobriety
Where people lead a healthier life in body, mind, and spirit

Counselors

What’s here for counselors and other addictions professionals?

This section contains articles that may be useful to professionals who work with people in recovery. The information is the same as for the rest of the web site, but there are citations. Support for long term recovery that includes the physical body and purports to be holistic must include the biochemical realities underlying craving, mood swings, seeking behaviors, depression, and anxiety.

None of these ideas is new, but they are not part of the counseling core curriculum, and they are not featured in the discipline’s literature. Readers are welcome to reproduce any portion of these documents with due credit.
