Welcome to The Suppers Programs For Stable Blood Sugar
Suppers is a learn-by-doing program for people who want more vibrant health. At Suppers we have a starting
assumption: If we can help you discover how you need to live to stabilize your blood sugar and mood chemistry,
your other diet-related health challenges will be addressed simultaneously. There are two main kinds of support
we provide members. The first is helping you do experiments to see what foods are most satisfying and stabilizing
for you, and the second is helping you work the program long enough to firmly establish healthy habits.
Most of the changes are simple in theory, but new habits are hard to establish unless you get good support. Whether
you’re already diabetic or simply troubled by your relationship with sugar, there is a simple formula for improving
your blood sugar naturally:
- A diet of whole foods, using whichever foods are most stabilizing for you, including vegetables, fruit, nuts,
seeds, legumes, meat, fish, fowl and possibly whole grains and dairy.
- A diet that excludes whichever foods spike or crash your blood sugar, usually refined carbs like chips and soft
drinks, things made with sugar or other sweeteners, and things made with flour.
- A means of managing stress, including satisfying human connections like the camaraderie of the Suppers family table.
- Meaningful physical activity – not necessarily “exercise” – something you enjoy doing that will keep you moving for life.
No one will tell you what or how to eat. At Suppers, you’ll get lots of support finding your own path to a healthier
life. You can start right now by learning the language your body is speaking to you by reading
How You Feel is Data
or filling out the short beginner's questionnaire.
